Synopsis: People see the world through a coloured glass.
Comments: This is short and serves as my first try to get to know this challenge thing better. The idea for this one didn't leave me alone so I wrote it. I hope it fits the theme though since I didn't actually mention Spring here... Well, I'll do better next time, this was just... well, you can call it an experiment of some kind. ^^
Constructive criticism is always welcome as English isn't my first language.

People see the world through a coloured glass. Mine is an exception though, being the perfectly clear and colourless that it is. It’s flawless, bright and simply transparent, perfect for me to carry out my role within the band.

I’ve always been an observer more than a participant, choosing drums as my instrument partly because of that. Being the drummer means that I don’t have to shine like the rest of you, playing your parts in front of the spotlights, all loud and enthusiastic, always having something to say, something to share with the rest of the world. Me, then, well I can always hide behind my drums, my mask, and my place as the quietest member of Dir en grey.

I do watch you from the shadows though.

Kaoru, our dearest leader-sama… Your colour must be blue. All warm and calm yet there are shades to match your wilder side. You take care of us, the band, like the strong leader you are.

Toshiya, your colour is definitely orange. Though wild and energetic, you have the ability to make us laugh. Never lose the childish side of yourself, Totchi, always let your smile shine like the sun above us all.

Die, your colour can be nothing else than red, matching your hair, your craziness, your cheerfulness and your caring personality. Red as the flames, with you we’ll never get bored.

And lastly, Kyo. Your colour took me some time to define. But I know it is black, all the dark, gloomy parts of the human nature you see. What’s worth remembering though is the fact that there are lighter shades of black as well. And you do, you see the beauty of the world around you, too.

I watch you all when the first rays of the sun illuminates the studio, and I like what I see. My band…

…my family.
