Shinya’s asleep, one of his hands hanging over the edge of the sofa, fingers nearly touching the ground. His face is peaceful, serene even, and he has never look as angelic as he does now, at that very moment.
Die spends quite a lot of time simply watching him, from those full kissable lips to the long nails, perfectly polished and manicured – Die’s pretty sure it’s called French manicure, didn’t Shinya once say something along those lines? – and back up to catch a sight of the other’s lips curving slightly, clearly having a pleasant dream.
He has gone to Shinya already – once to cover the drummer with a blanket and twice to place a soft kiss on those lovely lips – but the temptation is so hard to resist, for he is merely a man. His smile is gentle, loving, as he gets up and once again makes his way over to the sleeping man, lowering his body on the floor so that their faces are just inches away from each other-
“You shouldn’t take advantage of him like that while he sleeps, you know,” says a voice from the door, and Die turns to face the source of it.
Kaoru, smirking.
“We do a lot of things we shouldn’t,” he answers, and Kaoru chuckles.
“I don’t doubt that,” Kaoru says, “all I’m saying is that at least let him wake up first.”
Die ignores him completely, turning back to Shinya, his kiss light; lips barely brushing against Shinya’s. When he turns back to Kaoru he notices a small, barely visible smile on the other man’s lips.
Kaoru is studying him, and suddenly Die feels a little uncomfortable.
“He loves you too,” and that is totally different from what Die is expecting to hear.
Kaoru shrugs. “Just thought you’d like to know,” he says, adding, “and don’t you forget about that,” on his way out of the room.
Die blinks, then smiles.
Shinya loves him, and that’s all he needs to know.
