Synopsis: "Why did you wait for me for so long?"
Comments: Written forkalypartemis (for the word 'faith') for that little 'request a drabble from me' thing from last spring. Don't you just love me for being so late? XP
"Why did you wait for me for so long?"
Die glances up from his comfortable spot on the sofa, his eyes meeting the drummer's who stands there, lightly leaning on the door frame. He gives a slight shrug and a dazzling smile, delighted when Shinya answers it with a tiny smile of his own.
"Because I knew you'd come to your senses," a teasing tone and Shinya sighs softly but without any real frustration for he is well used to his lover's way of handling things by now.
"I'm actually still waiting to come to my senses, thank you very much," the drummer says, his face perfectly nonchalant yet there is a glimmer in his eyes that he cannot erase, and that's enough for Die to smile a knowing smile.
"Don't lie, love, it does not suit you," he grins widely.
"I do not," Shinya exclaims, only to be interrupted by the guitarist's soft chuckles.
"There's no use trying to deny it, my sweet Shinya," he smiles, and slowly Shinya nods.
"I guess you know me too well by now," he has to admit as he glances at his lover, his eyes curious still. "You didn't answer my question though," he notes after a moment.
Die, knowing full well what the other means, simply smiles. "Because I had faith in you. In us," he explains, holding out a hand for Shinya to take.
And Shinya does, Die's words more than enough for him.
