Sometimes, when Die was bored, he liked to find a certain kind of way to entertain himself with. Mostly it was something innocent – not necessarily innocent in a way that held similar meanings to the word ‘pure’ but innocent nevertheless – but sometimes when the mood was right… it stopped being that innocent. That was what Toshiya both disliked and liked, depending on if he was in the receiving end of his band mate’s evil grin and teasing remarks or not. Mostly he wasn’t, that was usually Shinya’s part, but there were times when he was sure Die just wanted to annoy him and embarrass him for whatever reasons the redhead had. Well, maybe it was partly because of the fact that he himself liked to tease Die as well from time to time.

Today was clearly one of these days Die wanted to tease him, Toshiya noted as he sat there on the couch, his fingers idly playing with the hem of his shirt and there was something in Die’s eyes that made him slightly uncomfortable. He tried to shrug it off though, leaning to the back of the couch and smiling a little at his friend. They were the only ones left in the studio since the others had left some time ago. Kaoru and Kyo were probably outside having a smoke and Shinya, well; Toshiya didn’t have a clue about the drummer’s whereabouts. But it wasn’t like it was important except for the fact that it meant that he was left alone with Die.

“I’m bored,” Die said suddenly and Toshiya groaned inwardly. Now he’d have to suffer through whatever it was that Die had in mind this time.

“Then do something about it,” Toshiya said, hoping for the best.

Die nodded. “I know what we could do. Let’s play a game!”

Toshiya raised an eyebrow, knowing Die and his games. “What kind of game?” he asked, half curious and half fearing Die’s answer.

“Just a little word game,” Die smiled. “It could be fun.”

Toshiya shrugged. “Whatever. Let’s try it,” he said, deciding to humour Die.

Die grinned. “It’s an easy one. I ask you what do you love that starts with a certain letter and you answer truthfully. And then you ask me and I answer just as truthfully,” he explained. “I’ll start. What do you love that starts with S?”

Toshiya blinked. It didn’t sound that bad. “Hm. Sweets,” he answered. “What do you love that starts with B?”

“That’s easy, beer,” Die said. “What do you love that starts with M?”

“Music,” Toshiya said quickly. Inwardly he smiled; he could’ve said men as well but he did love music just as much. “What do you love that starts with A?”

Die thought it for a while. “Apples,” he then said. Toshiya tilted his head curiously. Why apples? But Die just smiled.

“Ok, so I know there’s something special in this letter… Who do you love that starts with K?” he asked and grinned at him wickedly.

“Die!” Toshiya exclaimed, not having been expecting that.

“That doesn’t start with K you know,” Die chuckled.

Toshiya rolled his eyes. “I’m not stupid.”

“Then tell me who is it that you love,” the redhead said, that annoying grin still playing on his lips. “Not that I didn’t already know it but I want to hear it from you.”

Toshiya sighed. “Fine, Mr. Nosey. Kaoru.” And that was true, he did love Kaoru. But he did love Kyo as well… not the same way though. But saying Kyo’s name, as appealing as it had sounded to him, wouldn’t have been accepted by his friend. He knew it from the tone Die was using. “He is my band mate after all,” he added though.

“Yeah yeah, whatever you say,” Die chuckled.

“Well then… Who do you love that starts with S, hmm?” Toshiya countered.

“Shinya,” Die answered with a straight face. Then he smiled widely.

“So Kaoru… who do you love that starts with T?” he asked, and Toshiya gasped softly as he turned to find himself staring at Kaoru’s amused eyes.

“That would be Toshiya, of course,” Kaoru said and smiled at him. Toshiya couldn’t help but to smile back but then he noticed someone standing behind Kaoru. It was Shinya, and he had probably heard the same that Kaoru had. Toshiya smirked a little to himself.

“Hey Shinya, you don’t happen to love anything that starts with D, do you?” he smiled innocently.

“Mm, maybe I do,” Shinya said and blew a kiss to Die’s direction, his eyes sparkling with amusement. Die blushed to a nice shade of red, and Toshiya smiled at that.

And when Kaoru sat down next to him, leaning closer to peck his cheek lightly, he was happy to realize that sometimes, no matter what his intentions were, Die could actually be of help.
