helldarkangel. This is the, well, "angst" and the fluff will follow soon. I didn't want to make this too angsty so I asked my mom a word (which was 'a book') and got this idea. I hope you like it. ^^
Sometimes, Kyo felt like there was something missing in his life.
But when he thought about it more closely, there wasn’t. He had his family, his friends, his band, his music and his girlfriend whom he, well, maybe not loved but liked dearly. And he liked his life, he really did. He was able to do what he wanted and make a living from it, and he was able to do it in a great company. Overall his life was what people would call if not perfect then pretty damn close to it. And he knew it and was grateful for it.
When Kyo thought about the lives of those dear to him, he saw that they all had a good life, just the way he had. The points he made from his own life were clearly similar with theirs, the only exception being that Die and Shinya had male lovers. Kyo wasn’t completely sure of it but he did suspect that they were in fact together – he understood though why they wouldn’t want to tell it to the rest of them especially in the beginning of the relationship, knowing the pair’s desire to keep the private things as private. Toshiya and Kaoru then again had girlfriends; Toshiya’s girlfriend was a nice girl, a childhood friend, and Kaoru’s was a girl Kyo didn’t really like but as long as their leader was happy with her he wouldn’t say a thing against her.
In other words, they were all happy with their lives.
Still, for Kyo there was something else in the situation, something he wouldn’t admit even to himself, not to mention to his friends. But if he was to admit it to himself the truth would have been the following: he had feelings for a friend, those that are deeper than the ones of friendship. And that friend was Kaoru.
But as he hadn’t admitted it, he had been able to make himself believe that those occasional moments of uncertainty were merely his imagination.
